The Queen at Garrowby

The whole school enjoyed a trip to see HRH Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh on their way to Royal Ascot at York.

We were very proud to have been invited by Lord and Lady Halifax. It was a day the whole school will certainly remember!

When we came off the bus we walked around the Royal helicopter then we stopped walking around the helicopter to watch the Queen. She came in a landrover. Charlotte

The helicopter was big and it had the Queen's crest on the side of it. Lewis

We saw the red landrover and helicopter after we walked down the lane. Louis

While Mrs Mackenzie took a picture, I waved my flag. As you can see. Mrs Mackenzie took the photo when the Queen arrived. Henry

We all cheered and clapped when the Queen came. She waved at us. Leo

The landrover came to the Royal helicopter and the Queen got out. We all cheered and clapped. The Queen got into the Royal helicopter. David and Tom gave the Queen some flowers. Jimmy

Tom and David gave the flowers to the Queen. The Duke of Edinburgh is holding his raincoat. Edward and Stephen

Tom and David had given the Queen some flowers and they ran back in the rain. William

We went around the Royal helicopter to get out of the way because it was hovering. If we didn't we would get covered in grass. Then we stopped and looked. The helicopter lifted off. Harry

 

The helicopter flew away with the Queen to Royal Ascot. Christopher
