Curriculum Activities
We aim to create an environment where the children are safe,
happy, secure and able to develop their independence both
indoors and outdoors.
The curriculum is planned to incorporate purposeful activities
where children are both stimulated, allowed freedom to initiate
activities themselves and engage in those planned by adults.
The classroom is organised into areas of learning created to
enhance the planned learning and to provide continuity for the
children's thoughts and actions -e.g. the sand tray will allow
the children to return to a familiar area where they can explore
and investigate wet and dry sand, re-enact story scenarios,
enjoy pattern making and share experiences.
The unit is managed by Mrs Mackenzie and Mrs Sally Sullivan.
The children are encouraged to take home activities which they
can share with their parents. If you have any worries or
problems, please discuss them with Mrs Sullivan, Mrs Mackenzie
or Mrs Halley. There will be opportunity to discuss your child's
work with Mrs Sullivan during each term.
