Animation
Paul Slater a professional animator
from CMedia productions came to school during the week beginning
the 23rd January 2006 to develop an animation project with the
children. The work the children did promoted the development of
something similar to the very popular ‘Wallace and Grommet’
Films. The skills and concepts the children have used during the
process are: mathematic skills (e.g. number, quantity, pattern,
sequencing, time and estimating). Other benefits were: team
building, speaking and listening skill development, story
making, art skills – sculpting and creating, ICT skills in
filming, editing and story boarding and music technology in
creating soundtracks. This work is part of our participation in
"Creative Contexts for Learning".
